“Community goes Europe”

RYPO “OPORA” is the only one in the Republic of Mari El accredited organisation for the European Solidarity Corps volunteering programme, which enables us to accept European volunteers and send  young people from Mari El  to Europe.
From 1 to 6 September, a meeting was held in Weimar (Germany) with German partners who send their volunteers to our organisation. The European Solidarity Corps project funded by the European Commission ERASMUS+. “Community goes Europe” involves 5 countries: Spain, Belarus, Ukraine, Portugal and Russia. Volunteers from Germany will come to each of these countries. The OPORA organization was represented by the coordinator Garifullina Almira and mentor Sorokin Andrey.


The preparatory meeting is designed to establish contacts between partner organisations, programme coordinators and the volunteers themselves, as well as their mentors. At the beginning of the meeting, the organizers invited the participants to work on creating an intercultural team for a free and active dialogue between partners. The guys took part in daily master classes aimed at creating the necessary conditions for a volunteer, adapting him to a new environment, and implementing a project.
