Travelers’ Club: USA

We are very happy about the success of the last meeting of our Travelers’ Club which was held on 28th November at the coworking centre КОНТОРА and gathered more than 30 people. The first part was presented by Arthur in the form of a little quizz, which constisted in 20 questions about the history and culture of the States ; the winner got her reward in cookies (Starbuck’s recipe).

Then Natalya Stepanova from Cheboksary took the floor and told about her travel story which started in California and continued further accross the continent. She shared some tips about how to obtain a visa, make oneself some pocket money and what to visit in California, from National Parks to cities. She also showed photos and videos of her adventures and new acquaintances.

The next speaker, Darya Bylatnikova is from Yoshkar-Ola, but now lives and studies in Florida. She told us how the university system works in the US, and she mentioned some programmes open for Russians to go visit, study or work in America. Both Natalya and Darya also shared their perception of the “Amercian way of life”.

The last speech was by Inna Nasibulina from the language school Go! English, who explained the procedure of application to the famous programme Work&Travel and how the project works.

We would like to thank all the speakers for their interesting and inspiring interventions. All photos can be found here.

We are working on the next meeting which will be dedicated to an Eastern country. Which one?… For now, it will remain secret! Follow the news on our group on VK!
