We are very happy about the success of the last meeting of our Travelers’ Club which was held on 28th November at the coworking centre КОНТОРА and gathered more than 30 people. The first part was presented by Arthur in the form of a little quizz, which constisted in 20 questions about the history and culture of the States ; the winner got her reward in cookies (Starbuck’s recipe). Two volunteers of Opora have participated to the 19th World Festival of Youth and Students (WFYS) which took place throughout Russia and in the seaside city of Sochi from 13th till 22nd October 2017.
Opora is once again looking for volunteers to our summer camp in tents. This year the camp is divided into two parts: Scout Tramplin from 5th to 14th July, and Art Tramplin from 17th to 26th July.
The camp takes place on the bank of the Bolshaya Kokshaga river, about 90min from Yoshkar-Ola in the Mari El Republic, Russia.

Since 2005 the Regional Youth Public Organisation Opora in the Mari El Republic runs an international summer camp in tents, TRAMPLIN, for children from difficult social background.
The aim of the camp is to provide children from difficult social background with an opportunity to socialise through education and group activities organised by an international group of volunteers.

Within the project “Challenges of social change” teachers, social educators and volunteers that are working with children from orphanages and centers for children met with experts of the field of non-formal education and discussed the development of joint projects.
Our volunteer Sara Jankovzki has taken part in the Mid-Term Meeting (MTM), a training for EVS volunteers in Russia to meet each other and reflect together on their experience. The MTM took place on 21st-23rd June in the small city of Rostov Veliky in the region of Yaroslav, about 200 km north of Moscow.
For two months, Nastya, Ksenya, Karina and Veronika have been involved in their European Volunteer Service (EVS, in the framework of the Erasmus+ programme) in three European countries. Let’s get to know more about their projects and what their lives look like.
For me the best thing about Tramplin is, that it’s a world on it’s own.
